Recruitment: Japanese to English Translators Needed

Update:  We lost our translator for "Boukyaku no Shirushi to Hime" halfway through the translation of chapter 1.  Unless we find a translator, that project will be delayed until later in the year or not done at all. Problem solved!

Our proofreader and cleaning/redraw artist recruitment campaigns went well. Much thanks goes out to our new recruits.  Our final bottleneck is translators.  At the end of last year we lost Amrai and Blotty to real life and other translation endeavors.  This leaves us short staffed for oneshots and short-series.  I'm looking for advanced level translators (not necessarily fluent, because I'm not fluent myself) who are comfortable without furigana for potential josei and seinen projects.  That, though, is not a must. Volunteers who need furigana can stick to shoujo projects.  A few words to set expectations: it is my goal to present translations that flow and sounds natural. I would like translators to already be able to do that. However, if you are merely good at translation and writing is not one of your strengths, we do have staff that will rewrite scripts, or you can help QC the scripts from other translators.

Minimum Responsibilities:
- one series (no longer than 5 volumes, most series are 3 - 12 chapters) with monthly releases
or
- one oneshot/month

We have no set deadlines. You may work at your own pace within the monthly release schedule. You just need to tell me when you'll have it in. I provide all the raws and we have other translators in the group and amateur and professional friends who can help if you get stuck.

If you are interested in volunteering at Omari's Sister as a translator, please contact me, Kuroneko003 at omarissister@gmail.com
